HELLO VIETNAM!

One Kind of Vietnamese Dessert

"Chè Đậu Trắng", A Vietnamese Dessert
There are many kinds of desserts in Vietnam. "Chè Đậu Trắng" which is considered as one of the most popular Vietnamese desserts, is served during the Lunar New Year, on anniversaries and at parties. This food is made of glutinous rice, white beans and coconut fruits. People can see this food easily in the south of Vietnam, including my hometown which is Tien Giang province. The taste of "Chè Đậu Trắng" is the mixture of coconut juice, coconut milk, fleshy beans combined with the viscosity of glutinous rice. It's delicious!

The Greeting Way In Vietnam
The greeting ways in Vietnam are different from those in the United States. Firstly, when two Vietnamese people who are friends, or of the same age, see each other, usually give a smile and say hello in Vietnamese. They also use their use their first names. Secondly, in a polite situation, or when people meet someone who is many years older than them, the young people should say hello in Vietnamese at first and add a title in front of the name of the older, as well as must bow slightly. In Vietnam, no one allows younger people to call them by their name without a title in front of it.
